A mouth wateringly delicious food magazine that we reckon will make your culinary skills better, Easy Food magazine is a clear, simple and tasty guide to the world of food.

Each issue is packed full of different recipes, containing collections based around different themes such as summer dining or a touch of honey, alongside a weekly budget menu to help you eat well for less. There are also more challenging recipes to help you expand your culinary abilities, and handy kitchen know-how to help you become an absolute whizz. Every recipe is explained in clear and simple steps, and accompanied by photography so good we almost tried to eat the pages. Easy Food is an Irish publication in origin, but caters well to every taste whatever your nationality.

Why is it that every time we happen to be writing the description of a delicious looking food magazine it happens to be coming up to lunchtime? Frankly we’re surprised that you can’t hear our stomachs growling as we desperately try to finish up a few more magazines before repairing to the Dog & Duck for a tasty pub lunch.

Food magazines have gotten exceptionally good with their illustrations, which makes it all the more disappointing when our attempts at culinary flair turn out to be a burnt, soggy mess (yes, we don’t quite know how these seemingly opposing states came to be, but somehow we managed it). We’re not calling for a return to Mrs. Beaton style cookbooks, sparse of illustration and complicated of word, but maybe a little more reality in photography would be appreciated.

On the other hand, it does represent a level to be aspired to, and if there’s one thing we like doing it is practicing making food (oh no! another batch of cookies didn’t come out quite right. Guess we’d better eat these and start again). Easy Food is a fantastic way to start your trip to cooking artiste, containing simple, straightforward and clearly explained recipes for every budget and kitchen and illustrations that makes our stomachs rumble in appreciation.
